Welcome Home!!!

Happy 1 week to our little man! (And his cousin Logan!)

We want to thank everyone for keeping Drew in your prayers. "Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones." Genesis 50:21. God is great. All the prayers and his guardian angel, Paige, helped bring all of us through the stress of having our little man in the NICU. Now he's home with us and starting to get big and strong! He did great on his first car ride home... slept the whole time. And Aurora was excited to meet him! We think he likes his room, we'll try to post a video of the "welcome home tour" later.

For anyone who wants to visit, we ask that you call first. And if you are sick, please don't come over! He'll still be as cute tomorrow as he is today. Well, maybe he'll be even cuter!

He has arrived!!!!

Wow! What a surprise we were in for! Our little man arrived 2 weeks early, and at record speed! We knew June 21st  was going to be a special day because Janice was going to be induced and we were ready to welcome our nephew, Logan Patrick Moore, into the world. All went smooth with her delivery, and we can't wait to meet him! Little did we know, in a few short hours, we would be experiencing the same joy. Around 4 pm Tuesday June 21st, I started noticing that what I thought was "braxton hicks" was actually starting to get regular. I joked with Janice earlier that day that I was having sympathy contractions... then these sympathy contractions were 5-7 minutes apart...Trey and I decided it was time to take a trip to the hospital. We checked in at 7pm, and at 10:48pm, after two big pushes, Wayne Franklin Schmidt IV or as we will call him "Drew" came into the world. What a beautiful boy.

Some of you may be wondering, where does "Drew" come from? Well, he is "the fourth" soo Quad "Drew" plet. We think it fits the little guy. And speaking of little.... our little man only weighed 4lbs 15 oz, so he is low birth weight. the concern is that he doesn't have enough body fat to regular his temperature, so he uses up all his sugar and energy to keep his body warm and when his blood sugar drops, that is dangerous.  He is in NICU right now hooked up to an IV so that his sugar stays up and he doesn't have any complications, and we can go see him and hold him whenever we want. He is doing great, but not being a good eater. Please keep him in your prayers, we want to bring him home as soon as we can. So he needs to eat and get big!

He is absolutely beautiful, and what blessing to share his birthday with Logan. Birthday twins!

Words cant describe how much love we have for him.
